4 weeks in Vietnam – How much did we spend ?
Well our budget is creeping back up again ! This month’s $4,450 is slightly more expensive than Cambodia and $1,000 more than Thailand !
To be honest that isn’t a reflection on the prices in Vietnam, it’s more like us having upped our budget on hotels this month. After a month roughing it in Cambodia we were both feeling a bit tired and in need of some little luxuries … like a comfortable insect-free bed, aircon, flushing toilets & hot shower 🙂

How do our daily expenses in Vietnam compare to our daily expenses in other countries ?
Our accommodation expenses went up this month because we stayed at very nice 4/5* hotels, having said that we’ve stayed at some pretty amazing places so an average of $72 night is very cheap considering the quality ! In the US we were paying $100 night for crappy motels !!!!!
We ate lots of fantastic street food in Vietnam so that kept the costs down.
