ZZ Ninja Kid: World Snooze Tour Bed #45 TeaHouse Hotel, Phnom Penh, Cambodia

We went to Phnom Penh the capital of Cambodia and stayed at the TeaHouse Asian Urban Boutique Hotel, it was quite a big boutique hotel (about 30 bedrooms) and it wasn’t run by a family, it was nice but I didn’t like it as much as some of the smaller places we’ve stayed because it didn’t feel like home.

The lobby was nice, it had big red sofas and fish ponds.

We had room 211 on the second floor, it had a double bed and a bathroom with a big shower, the aircon kept switching itself off in the night so it was REALLY sweaty, it was 35ΒΊ even during the night.

The swimming pool was nice, it was made of greenish slate tiles so the water was a green/grey color. it was 12m x 4m but it was only 1m deep.

We visited the Killing Fields and the Genocide museum where Pol Pot tortured & murdered millions of people, Mama thought it might be a bit scary for me but it was just very sad to see thousands of skulls of so many poor people who didn’t do anything wrong. I still don’t really understand why the Khmer Rouge wanted to kill everyone and how they could torture all those children.

Our tuktuk driver to the hotel was a Barca fan and wore a Barca tshirt πŸ™‚

Cost: $43 USD night (4 nights) inc: Breakfast & OK wifi
