ZZ Ninja Kid: World Snooze Tour Bed #47 Lazy Beach, Koh Rong Samloen Island

Our jungle hut on Lazy Beach was another one of my favourite places we’ve stayed, even though we had a family of huge geckos sharing our bathroom, they were about 30cm long and they just sat on the shelf and watched us shower, clean our teeth and sit on the toilet !

We finally gave up on toilet paper and mastered the “Bum Gun” which is like a little shower head next to all the toilets in Asia, it gets you clean … but NOT dry 😉

Our Lazy Beach jungle hut was made of wood with a thatched roof, now Im getting used to jungle huts I know its normal that the roof never connects to the walls so all the big creepy crawlies can share with us, this place was pretty luxury though because we had 2 double beds with a fan each and 2 sofas and we had electricity all night so the fans worked and you could go to the toilet in the night without a headlamp !

There was hardly anyone on this island, we always had the beach to ourselves. I felt like Bear Grylls on a desert island, we went snorkelling and found lots of long branches and polystyrene floats from the fishermen so I could build shelters and rafts.

There was a cool tree swing on the beach, it was really high up because a lot of the beach got washed away in the storms during the last rainy season so Mama had to help me climb up onto it. The fun thing was swinging out over the sea so high up !

We walked through the jungle to Saracen Bay which is amazing, its a huge white sand beach and the water is so shallow you can walk for ages and ages and still only have water up to your knees. The best thing about this beach are the hammocks in the sea at Green Blue bar, they’re tied to posts and you lie half in the water as the hammock swings, they had a red and a blue one next to each other, it was perfectly BlauGrana Forca Barca 🙂

Cost: $65 USD night (5 nights). Food was fantastic, especially the BBQ Marlin
