ZZ Ninja Kid: World Snooze Tour Bed #50 Floating Hotel, Mekong Delta, Vietnam
Bed #50 Floating Hotel, Mekong Delta, Vietnam
Bed #50 was pretty cool, we stayed for one night in a floating hotel on the Mekong River near Chau Doc, we spent 4 days floating down the river, crossing the border from Cambodia to Vietnam.
It was like a big pontoon with a wooden house on it, our room was on the same level as the water so when boats speeded past us the waves splashed up onto our balcony.
The room was a bit basic, 2 double beds with sheets that Mama reckoned hadn’t been washed in ages and a very dark bathroom but the view was awesome, the whole wall was glass and we didnt close our curtains so we could see the boats going past all night, by 4am theres a traffic jam on the river with everyone going to the floating markets. Its pretty noisy but a cool kind of noise. We had a little balcony too.
Cost: $20 USD night inc breakfast. No wifi
